Dear friend,
I think we all have felt the spiritual battle raging around us. In Ephesians 6, Paul reminds us that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil. We are told to gear up for battle, be on guard for Satan’s arrows, and stand our ground.
Friend, at Wellspring Life Ministry women come into our Clinics every day, weary from Satan’s arrows of fear, anxiety, and isolation. Without a shield, they are vulnerable to attacks from the enemy in this life or death battle.
God has put this Ministry at a time and place crossroads to be that shield for them. With you beside us in this battle, we take up our shields of faith to extend over our clients, offering them a safe place of rest, practical help, and the hope of the Gospel.
As we close out 2023, I want to introduce you to one of the women you have protected this year.
Destiny was late, and that made her worry. In her mind, pregnancy would be a disaster. She felt like she couldn’t do this alone, couldn’t even think about having a baby. Her friends said that a baby would ruin everything, but the abortion pill would fix it.
With each day that went by, Destiny felt great pressure to make a decision. She did a quick online search, saw an ad for Women’s Clinics, and texted us for information about the abortion pill.
When she walked into our office, the clinic felt safe and welcoming to her. Being able to share her fears and concerns with a counselor who listened without judgment gave her great relief and space to consider her options.
As she headed into the sonography room, she was still conflicted. But when she saw her baby on the screen, everything changed.
“I loved the ultrasound,” Destiny said. “It made my decision clearer… I plan on keeping [this baby]. I really appreciate you all keeping me in your prayers— that means a lot.”
Filled with courage and hope for the future, Destiny chose life – and will welcome her baby in the new year.
