Sherise

Our heavenly Father is a God of second chances – and this is seen clearly in the story of a young woman who received life-saving care from our Abortion Pill Reversal (APR) team.

When “Sherise” found out that she was pregnant, she was worried that she’d lose her job. Without even telling the baby’s father, Sherise made the decision to end the pregnancy and took the first dose of the abortion pill regime after visiting a local abortion clinic.

Sherise immediately regretted her decision and frantically looked online for how to save her baby. Her mind was reeling: Was it too late? Had she made a devastating, irreversible mistake?

In her search, she found the National Abortion Pill Reversal Hotline – and the Women’s Clinics.

Our APR team was able to see Sherise that day to begin the medication protocol.  A specially trained counselor listened as she shared her fears and concerns. Although Sherise had a faith background, she acknowledged that she had not considered her beliefs when making the decision to abort. She said she knew she needed to “get back to church and get back to God.”

Sherise was overcome with relief upon seeing her baby’s little heart beating strongly during her ultrasound. She returned to us several times during the following weeks to continue receiving the APR progesterone and follow up sonograms.

“I was so happy to see a healthy baby,” Sherise shared in a text to her counselor.

When she finally told her boyfriend about the baby, he immediately stepped into the role of father to provide for their new family. The couple plans to be married soon, and they will be joined by one more around their table in the new year.

As Sherise learned, our Father delights when His children come home. Those who seek Him find that a special place has been set at His table, just for them.

Each year, through your generous support of this Ministry, hundreds of little boys and girls are joining their families around the table this holiday season.

On this first Sunday of Advent, we all anticipate the birth of the Baby who changed the world. As we remember His story, we want to share some of the stories that God has written this year as He sets more places at the table.

With you in Christ,

Pamela
