When a woman needs hope, Wellspring Life Ministry is there.
For more than 44 years, Wellspring Life Ministry has served women facing unexpected pregnancies, offering compassionate care, practical support, and the hope of Jesus Christ. Throughout its history, the ministry has faced growing opposition, including protests, vandalism, fraudulent appointments, malicious online reviews, and, most recently, a hostile notice posted on its Annapolis clinic sign. Despite these challenges, Wellspring remains steadfast in its commitment to serving women with love, speaking truth with compassion, and sharing the Gospel.
Through the story of Tamaria, a woman who faced an unexpected pregnancy amid threats and pressure from an abusive former partner, we remember why this mission matters. “Tamaria” was rebuilding her life after escaping an abusive relationship when she discovered she was pregnant. Her former boyfriend pressured and threatened her to have an abortion. She felt unsafe and overwhelmed.
At Wellspring, she found something different: compassionate care, an opportunity to see her baby by ultrasound, and a place where she could consider her options without facing judgment.
When she returned for a second ultrasound, she shared words that stopped us in our tracks:
“This entire pregnancy I have felt unsafe and in the way of everybody. But I feel safe at your clinic.” ~Tamaria
